The metal sandbox is specially designed to fight liquid fires. In areas such as industrial sites or gas stations, the risk of fire is omnipresent, especially fires started by phosphorus, flammable liquids or flammable liquefiable solids. In these cases, conventional fire extinguishers or water are not effective enough because the flames must be deprived of their oxygen in order to be extinguished. This is exactly what sand or other absorbent components do when they are thrown onto the fire.
